Wafid Online Registration for Dependents: Complete Guide for Family Visa & Children’s Medical Requirements

Admin 12-12-2025

Many individuals dream of working or settling in GCC countries due to the numerous benefits they offer. Gulf countries offer a higher pay scale and do not charge tax on your income, resulting in more savings. These countries have a high standard of living and provide opportunities to enhance your skills, which is great for your career growth. But working in these countries is not possible without a fit medical report. Book your Wafid online registration as early as possible to fulfil your dreams.

An Easy Guide Of The Requirements Of a Family And Child Visa

If you are planning to book a Wafid online registration, here is the list of all the requirements:

Family visas-

  1. The GMCA medical test is a mandatory health checkup for all the applicants to screen any infectious disease, like HIV, Hepatitis B and C, etc or detect any chronic illness that can be harmful for the citizens of the GCC countries.

  2. The applicants need to book an online Wafid registration where you need to put the passport details, choose the country you are willing to travel and an approved medical centre, make the payment and print the GCC slip.

  3. Carry your original passport and photocopies of it and recently clicked passport-sized photographs according to GCC standards. Also, carry your Aadhar and Covid-19 vaccination certificate as some countries require it.

  4. The result will be uploaded on the Wafid portal within 24 to 72 hours, stating “fit” or “unfit” for travel. An “unfit” declaration will lead to visa denial. Reapplication is allowed after a period of 3-6months, depending on the country laws, but illnesses like HIV do not get reapplication.

Women's health (including pregnancy)-

  1. Women need to undergo certain extra tests regarding their reproductive health and to evaluate any sexually transmitted diseases.

  2. Pregnant women are exempt from chest X-rays as it can be harmful for the foetus, but this requires a NOC from the applicable embassy.

  3. Avoid booking appointments during the first trimester and inform the centre about the pregnancy.

Children-

  • Children under 12years of age usually do not require the GAMCA medical test in most of the GCC countries. But immunisation certificates and other health details are required if planning to reside for a long time.

  • Children above 12 years will have to go through basic health check-ups and a tuberculosis screening. However, children under the age limit have to undergo a medical examination if they have a known medical condition.

  • Parents should carry the original passport, passport-sized photos, documents of visa application, vaccination certificates and up-to-date health details.
